She Rides Shotgun (2025) Rigorously realized visuals and confidently staged action builds persuasive relationship between young Ana Sophia Heger and her jumpy, estranged ex-con father Taron Egerton, on the run when they're caught between violent gang and corrupt sheriff. Narrative convinces with character drawn tension.

Daehongsu (The Great Flood) (2025) Initially bracing setup sees intuitive Kim Da-mi desperately escape apocalyptic tidal waves with young son, until narrative shift turns to strained AI time-loop as key to save humanity. Fluid rhythm struggles to maintain interest as emotional resolution never quite resonates.

The Bluff (2026) Agile Priyanka Chopra Jonas finds idyllic family life ripped apart by booming Karl Urban, seeking stolen gold and revenge, and reawakening her past as brutal pirate. Spirited cast inform violent action, yet stylized approach minimizes jeopardy and misses opportunity for earthy rush.

Bonjour Tristesse (1958) Immaculate visuals conjure black and white reality against Technicolor freedom of French Riviera summer, as embracing Jean Seberg's coming of age finds her frivolous schemes with playboy father David Niven result in cruel fate for traditional Deborah Kerr. Cold empathy feeds on staid melodrama.

The Horror At 37,000 Feet (1973) Plain style does little to conjure suspense for increasingly preposterous tale of evil force awakening from possessed altar in hold of transatlantic flight. Actors play it straight amid sketchy effects, as expansive airplane set only accentuates threadbare creativity.

Triple Frontier (2019) Robust visuals and solidly athletic cast as confident Oscar Isaac rounds up ex-military buddies Ben Affleck, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund and Pedro Pascal to steal fortune from home of South American drug lord. Picks up rhythm as greed contaminates escape, yet misses on delivering dramatic impact.

The Rip (2026) Slickly gritted thriller benefits from easy affinity between Miami cops Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, as group of officers discover cash fortune in dead end house and deal with own suspicion and greed as well outside threats and corruption. Cue expected, violent confrontations and revelations.
