The Accountant (2016) Moderate genre thrills spin on intense accountant Ben Affleck's autism, which feeds acute mathematical skills and clinical ferocity with fists and guns. Uneven production sees ragged brother Jon Bernthal eagerly join violent plot; smart Anna Kendrick is more innocent participant.

The Accountant 2 (2025) Diverting blend of bickering brothers and brutal action sees unsocial Ben Affleck and unforgiving Jon Bernthal track down killers and traffickers with help from band of high-tech autistic teens. Sentimental streak provides emotional edge amid comedy and violence.

Un mariage sans fin (An Endless Wedding) (2025) Lively setup has resigned Tarek Boudali and conflicted Camille Rowe thrown into time loop that sees them repeat day of her sister's wedding in plush Moroccan resort hotel. Despite brief run time, lack of character and flat delivery quickly undoes ongoing comic and dramatic appeal.

No Negociable (Non Negotiable) (2024) Working best when accentuating humor, egotistical hostage negotiator Mauricio Ochmann finds prickly psychiatrist wife part of principled kidnapper Leonardo Ortizgris' plan to expose establishment corruption. Uneven balance with action and social drama less persuasive.

Cloak And Dagger (1946) Solid wartime spy thriller enlists scientist Gary Cooper as U.S. agent to uncover enemy plans for nuclear weapons in Italy, where cynical resistance fighter Lilli Palmer provides resilience and romance. Evocative visuals and carefully established tension feed pacy action in controlled package.

28 Days Later (2002) Waking from coma, Cillian Murphy faces fever-dream of desolate London after virus has transformed population to consuming zombies. Blistering thrills punctuate search for survivors and sanctuary as grungy visual aesthetic echoes violent collapse of structured society and sense of humanity.

Little Children (2006) Literate, provoking portrait of suburban fractures, affair between stifled Kate Winslet and conflicted Patrick Wilson part of neighborhood secrets and prejudice, further unsettled by Jackie Haley's returned pedophile. Immaculately crafted, conflict accentuated by bitter humor.

Deep Cover (2025) Generally amusing crime comedy overcomes unconvincing if fun concept of failing improv actors Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed hired by shady detective Sean Bean to infiltrate London drug gang. Light approach keeps tempo bright and action laughs fluid.

The Menu (2022) Skewering pretension of culinary elitism and monied egos, visit to remote island for conceited chef Ralph Fiennes' expensive dishes results in twisted revenge upset by grounded Anya Taylor-Joy. Though resolution underwhelms, twisted humor benefits from clean design.

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom (2018) With ethical Bryce Dallas Howard and protective Chris Pratt returning to rescue dinosaurs from mythical island, adventure and awe engineered by robust action and distinct visuals. Back on mainland, character and plot collapses leaving empty thrills.

Borderlands (2024) Glimpses of humor and moments of visual momentum can't compensate for unfocused myth building and blandly eccentric characters as cynical bounty hunter Cate Blanchet returns to desolate home planet in search of caustic teen Ariana Greenblatt. Numbing action maroons potent cast.
